What it is

UiPath's document product is IXP, which pulls three capabilities together: Document Understanding for structured and semi-structured files, Communications Mining for email and message traffic, and Generative Extraction, an LLM path for unstructured and high-complexity documents using retrieval-augmented generation. It handles tables, graphics, charts, checkboxes, signatures and handwriting, and splits multi-document files without manual separation. Extraction quality is managed through precision and recall evaluation, configurable prompts, selectable models and versioned model governance, and UiPath ships its own small language models for documents and communications. The banking evidence is real but large: published US credit union deployments sit at institutions well above community scale.
